Finally, I see a Democrat stepping up to the plate and admitting Bush can actualy govern our nation, like it or not:

What is wrong with you people? I was shocked when President Bush won the election this morning. I wasn't expecting that at all. From reading the blogosphere, forums and the media, it seemed like everyone and their mom thought that Mr. Bush was a big idiot and that Kerry would be winning the election for sure. Not only did Bush win, but there was a record for voter turnout as well as a record for the popular vote!

Today, after reading around, I am very disappointed in some people out there. I really don't care who you voted for, but it is a vote. People lose elections. People win elections. The idea is that when one person is the victor by majority, not everyone has to be happy about it, but we can at least stand united as a country and recognize that even if your choice wasn't made, we are all in this together and nothing is going to change that. You people remind me of 5 year old kids. Can't have your way so you will have it no way at all.

Here are some words that I have seen thrown around in reference to our President. Psychopathic, religious zealot, selfish, short-sighted, etc... What? Is this our President that you are speaking about? Whatever happened to things like respect? I am proud to be American. I am proud to say that I can stand by my fellow Americans, and live in a place where the leader is the person who the majority of us wanted. What good comes out of insulting our Commander-In-Chief?

Who is the selfish one here? Don't you see that your crap is hurting America? We need you to stop complaining and join the rest of America to move forward. You can't change the vote. What's done is done. What makes you think, that just because you took one night to research who you wanted to vote for, that somehow your opinion on the matter is so much more intelligent or better than your neighbor? We are all different people! If you are looking for something else, there are plenty of countries out there for that kind of thing.

And then it gets worse. There are actually people that want to move out of the US just because of the election! So what? Things are down for you, it doesn't look good the way you want it, and so you just leave? Yeah, that's how America was founded. God help us if our soldiers had the same attitude.

Let's stand together America. America as a whole has spoken and its over. Let's all actively move forward together and all do our part to make this a great country instead of sitting around whining about the leadership.

And BTW, I didn't vote for Bush, just in cause you label me as one of those republicans spouting off "Deal with it." No, I am one of those Americans spouting off "Deal with it!"

I've settled ona more conventional, centered layout with a fancy background that my cousin described as "hotel carpeting". It was done entirely through CSS. I am considering getting a good hosting package, switching from Blogger to Moveable Type or Textpattern as well as a domain name.

As most of you don't know, today is George W. Bush's Birthday. Since I did'nt post on the 4^th, I'm posting now on politics, the government, and America. And, I promise, no more until November. First and foremost, I want to celebrate the aniversary of our 43^rdpresident's birth: Happy Birthday, President Bush. Secondly, I want you to consider the state of this nation and its politicians: Bush had done many good things for this country, but some liberals have tried to make them look awry in the eyes of the public. George Bush's invasion of Afganistan was completely justified: bin Laden and the Taliban were presenting a danger to America and had to be terminated. Not many lives were lost, and although bin Laden was not captured, the Taliban was dissolved and a new, better Afganistan was formed. Mark one up for Bush. America's recent invasion of Iraq was just a justifiable and logical as that of Afganistan. Saddam and his followers posed a second signifigant threat to America with weapons of mass destruction. Saddam wasa danger to himself as well as his people. Now Saddam is being tried for his obscene crimes before and Iraqi court. This November, I urge all of you that are over 18 to vote, no matter what side of hte political fence you are on. I only hope that if you are to the left of the fence that I've persauded you to climb over it.

The Redesign, as well as the Name Change

Ever since I started this blog, I've been wholeheartedly disappointed in its design. I've struggled with more then 10 distinct redesigns on my own, none of them ever making it live. Finally, I think I've struck upon a style that pleases me. Its got the abused look of photos of yesteryear. Its main virtue is a beat-up picture of a smokestack, hence its name. I expect this design to go live by the end of next week. But, as design problems often present themselves, I have been suddenly struck by the beauty of Todd Dominey's Scribe template for Blogger. I expect I'll have an internal struggle between a heavy mod of the Scribe template or staying with SmokeStack.

PCs Suck...

Today, my WinXP computer really sucked. Actually, Microsoft in general really sucked In the morning, it basically stopeed working: my internet didnt work, and it froze more than three times in an hour. Since it had been doin this for days, and all my data was backed up, I opted to wipe my hardrive. This went smoothly, and I booted my computer for the "first time". I registered with Microsoft, and entered Windows. I installed all my normal programs, and boldy ventured onto the Internet. I had not been surfing for five minutes, when I picked up the Sasser worm. By tonight, Firefox kept giving me obviously faulty errors: my comptuer was back to it was, except worse. Microsoft sucks.
